Eric Samuelson

Eric’s journey has been slightly different than that of most traditional pastors. Born and raised in Syracuse, New York he attended Syracuse University and Gordon College – graduating with a degree in mathematics. In 1990, Eric was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force and began pilot training in Del Rio, Texas to fly the A-10 “Warthog”. Throughout the next 10 years as an active duty officer he was stationed in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and North Carolina as well as several overseas deployments in Kuwait and Iraq. In 2000, he settled in as a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard in Springfield, MA. During these travels Eric and his wife Kim (married in 1994) were involved in various churches – as small group leaders at Manna Church in Fayetville, NC and then as elders at Lighthouse Church in Springfield, MA. In 2002, Eric was ordained as an associate Pastor and began serving at The Rock Church in Portland, ME where he leads several groups. As The Rock Church expanded to Bangor, Eric was commissioned as the Senior Pastor of The Rock Church Portland in September of 2005. He lives in Gorham with his wife and their 4 beautiful children
