Groups at The Rock

Groups are where the big church becomes small. It’s where you’re known, encouraged, challenged, and supported. In groups, we study God’s Word, pray for one another, share life’s joys and struggles, and grow deeper in our faith—together. 

Why we exist

We exist to empower people to see themselves as wholehearted followers of Jesus. 

What we do

We direct people’s attention up with the Father, in with their spiritual family, and out to people far from God.

Being a Group Leader at The Rock Church is an honor and a calling. This role carries the responsibility of fostering authentic community, encouraging spiritual growth, and creating a space where people feel known, supported, and challenged in their faith. These expectations help us lead with integrity, unity, and purpose.

Become a Group Leader

Requirements

  • You must be 18 years old to serve with this team.
  • You must attend The Rock Church for 6 months before joining this team. (This requirement may be waived at the Discipleship Director or Lead Pastor’s discretion)
  • You must be background checked to serve on this team (18+ only)

Steps to Join

  • Fill out the Serve With The Rock Form
  • Fill out The Rock Leadership Application
  • Complete a Background check (18+ only)
  • Complete an interview with the staff oversight
  • Participate in training
  • Review Group Leader Team Handbook
  • Sign Serve Team Commitment Form
