Student Ministry at The Rock

Students are incredible—full of passion, potential, and purpose. We believe they’re not just the future of the Church, but a powerful part of it right now. That’s why we intentionally invest in their lives, helping them grow as disciples of Jesus who are being transformed from the inside out. Our hope is not only that they follow Jesus wholeheartedly, but that they lead others to do the same—bringing kingdom impact to their homes, schools, and neighborhoods.

As Rock Student Leaders, we’re called to set the tone—in our words, actions, and attitudes—both during student gatherings and in everyday life. It’s more than a role; it’s a commitment to serve, to lead by example, and to create a space where students feel seen, valued, and encouraged in their walk with Jesus. These expectations help us lead with humility, consistency, and passion.

Become a Student Ministry Leader

Requirements

  • You must be 20 years old to serve in High School Ministry
  • You must be at least a high school junior to serve in Middle School Ministry
  • You must be background checked. (18+ only)
  • You must have attended The Rock Church for at least 6 months before joining this team. 

Steps to Join

  • Fill out the Serve With The Rock Form
  • Fill out The Rock Leadership Application
  • Complete a Background check (18+ only)
  • Complete an interview with the staff oversight
  • Participate in training
  • Review Student Ministry Leader Handbook
  • Sign Serve Team Commitment Form
