Community Engagement Pastor

I serve as the Community Engagement Pastor here at The Rock Church. I’ve been on staff since 2015, but have been in pastoral ministry for over 30 years. It’s been an incredible blessing to walk alongside this church family—encouraging connection, fostering care, and helping people find their place in God’s bigger story.

I came to know Jesus when I was 17 years old, and that decision has shaped every part of my life since. I’m passionate about helping others experience authentic community and the transformational love of Christ in real, tangible ways.

I’ve been married to my amazing wife, Julie, since 1994. Together, we have five incredible adult kids and two beautiful grandkids. Life is full and rich, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

We don’t have any traditional pets at the moment, unless you count the groundhogs who’ve taken up residence in our backyard. They’ve definitely made themselves part of the family—whether we like it or not.

Also, if you’re wondering what my favorite food is—it’s Skyline Chili, hands down. There’s just something about it that hits the spot every time.

Favorite Bible Verse: Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires if your heart.”

Favorite Movie: Field of Dreams

Biggest Pet Peeve: Bad ice tea!

Favorite Way to Spend a Day Off: No destination or agenda! Just a day with my wife driving around to see what catches our eye, stopping and exploring.

Education: Warner Southern College Pastor Ministry Major Lake Wales, Florida. BA in Education from Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky.
